I have been doing most of the talking here for the past 6 weeks. What do you want to see as a tutorial?
- Picture Smocking?
- wedding hanky?
- heirloom sewing?
- Favorite gadgets from my sewing room?
- Pleating?
Please leave me a comment and I will work something up for next week. ~janet
I would love to see a heirloom technique that I am a little afraid of... hemstitching. The part that stumps me is how to start and stop the drawing of the threads without the threads running down past the point that you want.
ReplyDeleteI have just begun the Old Fashioned Baby French Acadian Gown. I started with the slip because I am actually so nervous about starting the hemstitching. It is probably easier then I am making it out to be. I just don't want to mess up the lovely expensive fabric. This is for my soon to be niece, baby Caroline!
I'm doing a little sundress for my daughter with cherry fabric. I have the smocking done, except I can't make bullion cherries to save my life. I have the directions, I just can't make them look right. I would love a tutorial on bullion cherries!

ReplyDeleteKaren, What size billion cherries do you need? Dime size? smaller?
